Hold Me Tight:
A Group For Couples
with
Dr. John C. Burton
Are you there for me?
Do
I matter to you?
Am I enough?
Based on the groundbreaking research on attachment and adult love by Dr. Sue Johnson, this group is designed to reduce arguing, improve communication and teach you how to finally get our needs met. Through video clips, readings, and in-class exercises and discussions, you and your partner will finally discover why it seems your love has been replaced with arguments, blaming and defensiveness.
The Hold Me Tight group is based on the highly effective marital treatment called Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT). Research shows us that EFT is effective at moving 70% of couples from distress to marital satisfaction. In this group you will both learn how to recognize the maladaptive patterns that block acceptance, comfort, safety, and lasting love.
Whether you are a new couple or been together for years, it is never too late to learn how to finally find the love you’ve always dreamed.
